Minors, Guardianships & Conservatorships: How to Advise Your Clients
This course is part of WealthCounsel’s Exploring Trusts and Estates series, which is intended for attorneys who are new to estate planning, eager to refresh their foundational knowledge, or looking for new ways to discuss estate planning matters with clients. This presentation will explore when and why court-appointed guardianships or conservatorships may be necessary, examine the bifurcation of the duties of physical care and custody and financial asset management, and address the differences between parenthood, guardianship, and being a custodian of assets.
