Healthcare and Medicare Considerations in Retirement
The decision of when to retire is undeniably linked to whether the potential retiree will still qualify for health insurance. A working knowledge of options available before Medicare eligibility, as well as what Medicare is and how it works is essential in assisting our clients to be well prepared for retirement.
Join Ruthann Driscoll, who will discuss:
- Options for the “Pre-Medicare Gap”. including a discussion of what options are available for those who have not reached the age to be eligible for Medicare.
- Medicare Overview and Eligibility Requirements, including a discussion of the when and how to apply for Medicare.
- The Four Parts of Medicare. What they cover. What they don’t cover.
- Medicap/Medicare Supplement, including when it is appropriate. How it coordinates with original Medicare.
Advisors are not talking about these matters. Why? Because they don’t understand them. Become the “value add” for your clients. Show them you care about their entire retirement picture. They will become your loyal client for the rest of their lives.
